CAPRI Events

The 16th annual McDonald's Kids Triathlon attracts both adults and kids. This is one of the largest events and has inspired some 800 kids to participate. Various individual and relay team competitions are open for boys and girls 7- 14 years.

While kids 7- 10 years can participate in a 100 meter swim, 4k bike & 1k run, kids 11- 14 years participate in a 200 meter swim, 8k bike & 2k run.

The swimming competition is organized in the shallow water of Lake Michigan whereas the bike and run take place in a closed park roadways and running paths. These competitions provide the kids with a great opportunity to show their hidden talents.

The triathlon takes place at Foster Avenue Beach (Chicago's north side lakefront). Each Series boost the athletic abilities as well as provides with loads of fun. Besides all this, The Series supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

The Whirlpool Steelhead 70.3 Triathlon will be the only race in the Great Lakes region that will award slots to the Iron man 70.3 World Championship.
