The Metro is located inside the Metro Store. It can accommodate 1,100 people who flock here to see its shows.
There are a variety of non- alcoholic beverages available at the Metro. But if interested in having alcohol, you should be 21 and above. You must show 2 federal/state IDs (Drivers license, State ID, Passport, etc.) as proof of age and wear a wristband provided by Metro.
Metro/Smart Bar provides safety and security apart from having a good time. Bands like Ministry and Trent Reznor showcased their new "industrial" music by playing tapes of freshly recorded tracks for the crowd.
Metro began paving its path with local bands like Naked Raygun and Big Black. In Metro's first year of business, Shanahan hosted future music heavyweights New Order, Depeche Mode, Killing Joke, Billy Idol and O.M.D.
On July 22, 2007, Metro will celebrate its 25th Anniversary. They are looking forward to another quarter century of the best music the world has to offer.
Store hours: Tuesday through Saturday 12- 8, Sunday 12- 6; Mondays 12- 8 if there is a show in Metro that day.
