Sports in Chicago

In 2006, the Sporting News named Chicago the "Best Sports City" in the USA.  It is home of two Major League Baseball teams of Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs. While in football, the Chicago Bears of National Football League (NFL) have won 9 championships in the NFL History and played at Soldier Field on Chicago's lakefront.  The Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL) on the other hand began playing in 1926 and its team has won 3 Stanley Cups. As we all know, Chicago Bulls of National Basketball Association (NBA) together with Michael Jordan is the most acknowledged team in the world. 

Chicago's Professional Teams

The Chicago Bulls are the professional basketball team founded in 1966 that are based in Chicago, Illinois.  During 1990s, they have won 6 National Basketball Association (NBA) championships in the history of basketball.  Chicago Bulls won their second straight title in the year 1991-1992. They have the tradition of wearing black shoes on every playoff games regardless of whether they are playing on their home court or not. This became a fashion trend around NBA circle. The United Center is currently the home stadium for both Chicago Blackhawks of NHL and Chicago Bulls of NBA. This stadium has a capacity of 21,711 audience seats for Basketball games and 20,500 audience seats for Hockey games.
